Background: There is a belief that there is a connection between blood types and the psychological and temperamental states that affect human behavior. The current study aims to ascertain the relationship between blood types and several psychological variables (perfectionism, optimism, and pessimism). Participants and Procedure: The study included 278 university students (males: 171 and females: 107) drawn from a stratified random sample using the descriptive methodology. The perfectionism scale and the Arabic List of Optimism and Pessimism were used as data collection tools. Results: The study concluded that there are differences in perfectionism traits based on blood type, favoring blood type (AB), which indicates that it is prone to perfectionism. According to the findings, there are no differences in optimism and pessimism traits among the study's sample based on blood type. There is also a positive relationship between blood types and perfectionism; however, there is no relationship between blood types, optimism, or pessimism among the sample of the study. Conclusion: We need to conduct more research and studies in this domain across different cultural groups and on larger groups of males and females to know the relationship between blood types and many of the psychological and affective factors that might influence human behavior
